Cordoba: Mezquita, orange trees and tapas



The Mezquita (the mosque-cathedral) won our hearts at first sight early in the morning during a church service inside the cathedral inside a mosque. As the smell of frankincense and the sound of prayer spilled through the desert-feeling of the original Islamic prayer space, we were awe-struck by the impressive architecture and spirituality of a building dating back to 784 A.D.
