The Gang Back Together Again

Mr. Brian Lee Wilkie graced us with his presence here in the Cotswold region of England, the Duke of Marlborough's daughter only had to reprimand him and Alex once. Josh and Joe joined in on some pub drinking, clutch popping, cow grazing, horse enchanting, lamb chop eating adventures. It is amazing how silly a bunch of friends can be when deprived of each other's company for too long. We had a jolly good time, didn't we Brian! And we ate well too.

Traveling with the Quinns: Vienna

Finally we took a train to Vienna. Much bigger than Prague, but thanks to an amazing tram system easy to get around, and while maybe not quite as beautiful, much more grand. We saw a ballet, some wonderful Austrian art, lots of palaces and the place settings that went with them, a LOT of roses (which Dad especially loved), and once again ate and drank plenty. Thank you Mum and Dad for all the unforgettable adventures!

Traveling with the Quinns: Prague

Next we went to Prague, the 'Golden City', and what a magnificent place it is. Perfectly walkable, completely cobblestoned, ancient amazing building after ancient amazing building, absolutely massive amounts of meat, and great (and really cheap) beer. Pre-tty Spec-tacular!

Traveling with the Quinns: Wales

First we went to Wales, where we got to see the house my grandfather was born in. The new inhabitant was excited to tell us tales of buying the abandoned and derelict house from the county council more than 30 years ago and finding it as my great grandmother had left it when she walked out the door, right down to the open television program sitting on a table. And mum even came away with a mug that her grandmother had given the lady who did her hair across the street!

More Quinns invade the UK

Recently Mum and Dad Quinn came to visit us in the UK. It was a perfectly wonderful time. They brought (and were followed around by) some of the best weather we've had since moving here, we went punting on the canal in Oxford, we walked the English countryside, we toured some amazing parts of Europe, we ate and drank like kings, and we were continually terrified by Dad's driving. Thank you for coming to visit! We miss you!
